A writer based in the New York City area, Richard Romano holds membership in the Screen Actors Guild. His original screenplay “The Investigator” was turned into an independent motion picture. Richard Romano also authored a children’s book entitled Raymie, Dickie, and the Bean, and is in the process of completing a book called Sergeant Romano’s Investigation of the Homicide of Jesus Christ.
Prior to becoming a writer, Mr. Romano worked for 21 years as a police sergeant and investigator for the New York Police Department. He also served as a commanding officer for the detective investigative unit and the undercover narcotics enforcement unit. In 1995, he received the Ministers of Harlem medal for performing above and beyond the call of duty. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from St. John’s University in Queens, New York.
In his spare time, Richard Romano enjoys visiting family in Los Angeles and vacationing in Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas. He is the brother of actor Ray Romano.
